The body carries the saturated green of leaves after rain—fresh, luminous and subtly changing between leaf, emerald and parrot green as the silk catches light. Unlike the smaller butis of the preceding sarees, its Kadhua motifs are more expressive: individually woven floral sprigs scattered generously across the open body.
The vermilion-red Kodiyal border creates an immediate ceremonial contrast. Large florals, curling vines and geometric divisions are articulated in tested zari, becoming progressively richer across the pallu. Against the cool green body, the red and gold appear particularly radiant.

Colour note
The body can move between fresh leaf green, parrot green and emerald depending on the light. The border, pallu and blouse are woven on a rich vermilion-red ground that may appear crimson or rust-red in warmer illumination.
